Hook Norton Limited edition sells out quickly

Hook Norton Brewery has announced the passing of Jo Clarke, mother to Dan, Lewis, George and Ed, mother-in-law to Lucy and former wife of James Clarke, its managing director. Jo was described as “a bright, beautiful, and beloved woman who faced life’s challenges with incredible bravery”.
She was a keen motorcyclist, and a Fresh Hop beer called One For The Road was brewed in her honour with the hops being collected by James and friends on motorbikes. Funds from the beer went to Warwickshire Air Ambulance which attended Jo when she had a bike accident a few years ago. Her final journey was first by shire horse and dray to Hook Norton Church, then accompanied by a convoy of over 40 of her fellow motorcyclists to Banbury. Many a glass was raised in her memory at Ye Olde Reine Deer pub in the town.

“Jo’s vibrant spirit and loving nature touched the lives of all who knew her,” said the brewery. “She will be remembered for her unwavering strength, her infectious laugh, and the immense love she had for her family. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her sons and daughter-in-law, who will forever cherish the memories of a truly remarkable woman. We extend our deepest sympathies to her family and all those who mourn her loss.”
