Oxford pub landlords in pictures

The camera catches up with six of our favourite publicans

Professional photographer Phil Gammon came to Oxford this week to take pictures for future stories in the Oxford Drinker and possibly other CAMRA publications, but the results were so good that we wanted to share some of the images now. Phil’s eye for detail and way of putting people at ease really brings these pictures alive, so see how many of the landlords you can name before reading the captions. We look forward to Phil’s next visit, and to find out more about him visit philgammon.co.uk

No, this isn’t a pub landlord but Poppy, who belongs to a regular at the Royal Blenheim. If I’d had a pint of Titanic’s Wreckage (7.2%), I might have mistaken him for a hand pump!
